Happy Chuseok from South Korea!

Chuseok Holiday is arguably the most celebrated holiday in Korea. It's a harvest festival, similar to Thanksgiving in the states. People return to their native areas and celebrate the harvest with their families. Chuseok is celebrated on the 15th day of the Lunar New Year; this year it will be celebrated from Sept. 26-29. We get the week off in commemoration of the festival.

Today, Everland Resort Park offered 1/2 off admission for foreigners in celebration of Chuseok. Everland is like Disneyland lite: there are a few adult rides and several kiddie rides. While not nearly as massive as Disney, it's a cute park and was a fun time. We rode all 4 of the adult rides, and got to visit the Animal Safari as part of the discount.

They have began celebrating Halloween here as well. We visited during the day, but this evening, the park will open it's highly anticipated "Halloween & Horror Nights" event. Kids of all ages were dressed in costume at the park today; there were even live, Halloween themed performances. It looks like it's going to be a great time but I couldn't hang past 4pm. Nonetheless, we enjoyed the day!
